The MDI EMO is created for both Weir or Type-S Inlet applications as well. The Marine Debris Interceptor Expanded Metal Option's patented technology allows you to catch trash and various other pieces of debris before they litter your local watersheds. The patented quick release hooks also make for
very easy installation and maintenance. The Expanded Metal Option helps you to catch smaller debris that would normally pass through the Original MDI.
REAL CASES
The MDI EMO was conceptualized in order to solve the issue of smaller floatables in areas where those are more common. It was first implemented in the City of Mobile, Alabama (the birthplace of Mardi Gras) in order to control the amount of debris hitting the waterways after Mardi Gras Parades. The MDI EMO has been extremely effective in reducing the amount of smaller debris getting through to our ecosystems where they can cause extreme damage.
